Transit and Parking

Campus parking permits will be available for attendees. Parking permits (all day date/time scratchers) will be available for local participants first, then others as needed. (Attendees staying in local hotels are encouraged to use the Marguerite shuttle system.) Permits can be used at any of the lots marked A or P on the Stanford map. The closest lot is the 3-floored structure located 2 blocks north of the Gates and CIS building (from Palm Drive, turn right on Campus Drive West; the parking structure is in a large lot located soon after on the left, across from the Stanford Hospital). Permits can be picked up at the CIS auditorium workshop location starting at 7:15 am. Prior notification of need would be appreciated. (More information on parking and transportation.)

We encourage workshop participants to take advantage of public transit, including Caltrain and other public transit options from SFO and SJC. Stanford's Marguerite shuttle is free, frequent, and runs from the Palo Alto and California Avenue CalTrain stations onto campus.

Though during the workshop all meals will be provided, in case you're arriving early or staying late, Stanford has ample choices for food on campus.
